| Hopper Calendar, Wall, te Neues Publishing
Hopper was an American painter, whose highly individualistic works remain landmarks of American realism. Born in Nyack, New York, he studied illustration in New York City at a commercial art school. About 1901 he switched to painting and studied at the New York School of Art. Hopper's early paintings were characterized by simple, large geometric forms, flat masses of color, and the use of architectural elements for their strong lines. In 1925 Hopper painted House by the Railroad (Museum of Modern Art, New York City), marking the advent of his mature style and conveying an atmosphere of all-embracing loneliness. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by te Neues Publishing.
