| Impressionism Calendar, Hardcover Engagement, Pomegranate
The term "impressionist" is usually attributed to a hostile critic who seized on the title of Claude Monet's Impression, Sunrise. The critic, accustomed to the more polished works of the Salon, expected more of a painting than a mere "impression." But artists like Monet wanted to paint not simply what they saw but the way they saw it. This warmly colorful calendar features thirty-two paintings by Cassatt, Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, Renoir, Sisley, and Van Gogh. Included in the calendar are international calling codes, time differences and yearly spreads for 2006 and 2007. This 2006 Hardcover Engagement calendar was published by Pomegranate.
