| Art of New England Calendar, Wall, Pomegranate
Perhaps its the light, or the give and take of ocean and coastline, or the soft-edged beauty of country long domesticated. New England, the place where we first started learning to be Americans, has always attracted painters. Naturally, some of them turned out to be great painters, and this calendar offers a sampling of work by the greatest New England artists, from Homer (1836) to Hopper (1882). Other featured artists include Mary Cassatt, Frank Weston Benson, John Singer Sargent, Maurice Prendergast, and Edmund Tarbell. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by Pomegranate.
