| Currier & Ives Calendar, Wall, Tide-Mark
For generations of Americans, the art of Currier & Ives depicted not only scenes of rural New England, but, more broadly, life in nineteenth-century America. The company - the longest running printing firm in the United States - produced more than 7,500 illustrations and millions of lithographs that continue to be of interest today. The colorful images in the Currier & Ives 2006 Calendar range from clipper ships and thoroughbreds to a rural maple sugaring party and a village inn during autumn. Each one celebrates a way of life and tells a story that is uniquely American. Sales of the calendar benefit the Springfield Museums. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by Tide-Mark.
