| Henri Rousseau Calendar, Wall, Browntrout
Entirely self-taught, Henri Rousseau (1844 - 1910) was a minor functionary, a customs officer or douanier, until 1893 when he retired to paint full time. Though untutored, Rousseau came to be admired by the likes of Degas, Renoir, and Picasso. Perhaps because of his complete lack of formal training, he managed to develop a wholly personal style and his own techniques. It is assumed he painted his famous jungle scenes after visits to the Botanical Garden in Paris. Admire the inimitable work of Henri Rousseau with this beautiful 2006 wall calendar. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by Browntrout.
