Basquiat Calendar, Wall, Pomegranate
Jean-Michel Basquiat's work defines "intensity." His career was cut short by an early death, but Basquiat left an enormous ouevre of works on canvas, paper, wood, and textiles. (He also tended to paint on the refrigerators, furniture, walls, and doors of those with whom he temporarily stayed, sometimes to his hosts' bemusement.) Brilliantly colorful, funny, angry, and perceptive, the images presented here include Jawbone of an Ass, Boy and Dog in a Johnnypump, and Leonardo Da Vinci's Greatest Hits. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by Pomegranate.
