| African American Masters Calendar, Wall, Tide-Mark
The Walter O. Evans Foundation for Art and Literature was established in 1997; however, the concept originated in the late 1970s when Evans began collecting African American art and literature to educate his children about creative work not available in the nation's public art institutions. The Foundation's traveling exhibition consists of eighty-three works of original African American art and has toured continuously since February 1991. African American Masters features a diverse selection of paintings included in the exhibition, highlighting acclaimed artists such as Edward Bannister, Romare Bearden, H. O. Tanner, Jacob Lawrence, and Hughie Lee-Smith. A portion of the sales of the calendar benefits the Walter O. Evans Foundation. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by Tide-Mark.
