| Big Red Barns Calendar, Wall, Browntrout
Why are barns red? Well, one theory is that early American farmers made their own paint with whatever materials they could scrounge up, and this makeshift recipe often included iron oxide (rust) and clay which are red in color. The paint, then, came out red. This created a trend, and barns in many regions have remained red ever since. Take a ride down a country road, even in areas where black or white are popular barn colors, and you are bound to see a big, beautiful red barn amid the backdrop of stunning farmland. Enjoy a year full of Big Red Barns in this delightful 2006 wall calendar. This 2006 Wall calendar was published by Browntrout.
