| Skiing Calendar, Wall, Browntrout
Skiing is one of the most popular winter sports. The Telemark area of Norway is largely credited for developing this pastime into a sport. Once skis were adapted to accommodate the deep slopes of the Alps, alpine skiing was born. Snow skiing appeared in the first Winter Olympics of 1924. While new "extreme" sport fads come and go, the pure rush from downhill skiing remains unparalleled. In the spring, summer, and fall, the fantastic photos in this 2006 Skiing calendar will reassure you that winter is just around the corner. Come winter, it will have you hustling to the slopes.
